The New Ford Transit Minibus is the ultimate drivers minibus, It doesn't matter if you are a local school or youth club, Whether you are travelling thousands of miles or just the school run the Transit Minibus is a safe and dependable workhorse. There are 9, 12, 15 or 17-seats versions available, all of which have been designed to carry passengers in a safe relaxed and spacious interior. The Transit Minibus offers all the flexibility of comfort and space together with an almost car like ride and handling.
Passenger safety
Obviously the safety of your passengers is very important and Ford have taken great care to design class-leading passenger safety features. Airbags are fitted for the driver and front passengers (and optional side airbags are also available). All seats are equipped with 3-point seat belts which, on the rear seats, are ‘generation style’ height-adjustable (standard on 15- and 17-seat). On 9- and 12- seat, the second row is also equipped with ISOFIX anchorage points in the centre and off-side positions for fitting a child seat. And all seats have adjustable head restraints to improve passenger comfort over long journeys. For additional passenger safety, there’s an optional Emergency Safety Pack, which includes a first aid kit, fire extinguisher and emergency door decals on all M2 Minibuses
Vehicle Security
The Transit Minibus features a Passive Anti-Theft System (PATS) which disables the engine when your key isn’t in the ignition. The engine only primes when you use an ignition key with the unique code recognised by the PATS system, high-security shielded locks with strengthened mountings to prevent lock tampering are also available along with a unique lock-in-latch door lock system which eliminates cables and rods between the lock and latch. Central locking, key-operated bonnet release and locking fuel cap are designed to stop thieves in their tracks.
